Frequently asked questions

You open an account with your Google login or a link we email you (no password), answer a set of questions and upload your logo and photos. We send three free previews of the top half of your homepage in three styles, and the one you pick becomes your homepage. You then pay RM899 for the year. If none of the three suits you, there is no charge.

We do not give a delivery date. After payment your account shows a page saying the site is being built, and we email you as soon as it is live at yourname.webx.my.

You need four things: what your business does, your services or menu (prices optional), your contact details and hours, and your photos. Phone photos are fine, and a missing photo is filled with a licensed stock photo that fits your trade. Uploaded photos and logos are deleted within seven days after each project finishes, and your account lists every file we hold, its deletion date and a delete button. The live site keeps its own processed copies.

Yes. Give us the address and choose "take the content from my existing website", and we copy the text, services, hours and usable images across. Connect the same domain later and we map the old page addresses to the new ones free, keeping your Google standing.

No. There is no editing login and no page builder, so you send the change from your account or by email and we make it. Changes are usually done within two business days. If you would prefer to edit pages yourself, a DIY builder such as Wix is the better fit (see our guide on editing your own website).

Yes. Our automated system designs and writes the site from your answers, automated checks review every page before it goes live, and you judge the result on the three previews before paying.

Up to four. A four-page site is typically Home, About, Services or Products and Contact, renamed as you like when you order. Extra pages are RM99 a year each.

No. WebX builds information websites only, with no online shop, booking system or customer login, and we say so before you pay. For selling, the site links to Shopee, TikTok Shop or a WhatsApp Business catalogue with "order via" buttons. Full online stores and booking systems are separate jobs for the studio behind WebX (see "Who is behind WebX?" below), and our guide on selling online explains how the link-out approach works.

No. Your website and your email are separate services, and our domain setup does not touch your email settings. Use Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Zoho Mail or Gmail (see our guide on website and email).

Yes. The site can be in any language you choose when you order, with English as the default, though WebX itself, our emails and our support are in English only.

Yes. We do not build sites for religious, cultural, sexual, adult, gambling, political or illegal content, and we screen for this when you order. If we decline before any work starts, there is no charge.

Anything inside your existing pages: new text, photos, prices, opening hours, promotions and swapped sections, sent from your account or by email in your own words. Two things are not change requests. An extra page is the add-on at RM99 a year, and a whole new look is the Design Refresh at RM199.

There is no limit and no charge per change. We work on them one at a time, so a second request queues behind the first and your account shows its place in line. The Terms carry no "reasonable use" clause. If one change goes back and forth a few times in a day, a member of our staff takes it over and settles it within one business day.

Only the free one. The plan includes a free WebX-branded domain at yourname.webx.my from the day the site goes live, but not a custom domain. A managed domain is an add-on at RM199 a year, registered in your name with the technical settings and https handled by us while your subscription runs. It goes with you if you leave WebX. Connecting a domain you already own is free, with step-by-step instructions.

Expired .com names are bought by resellers within seconds, and .my domains can be suspended the same day. We therefore warn you from 90 days out for every connected domain, and bill managed domains a month before the expiry date.

By online banking (FPX), e-wallet or card, a year at a time. There is no monthly billing. Renewal is RM899, the same as when you signed up, and it keeps hosting, https and change requests running for another year. The amount shows in your account and in every reminder email. Card payments can renew automatically, while FPX and e-wallet renewals are paid from a link we send you.

Your site stays online for another 30 days while the reminders continue (the notice goes out 45 days ahead, then at 30, 14 and seven days). After the 30 days the site goes offline behind a page saying it is offline for now, and renewing within the next 14 days brings it back at no extra cost. After those 14 days the site is stored offline, and bringing it back costs the RM899 renewal plus a RM99 reactivation fee. Twelve months after expiry the stored site is deleted, after a final warning email and the offer of a ZIP export.

There is no contract, and your site runs to the end of the year you paid for. It then follows the missed-renewal steps above, from the 30 days online through to the eventual deletion.

Yes, in full within seven days of the email saying your site is live, provided you have not sent a change request. The site comes down on refund, and connecting your own domain counts as keeping the site. A renewal is refunded within 14 days if the new year is unused, and the Terms of Service carry the full wording.

Yes. A ZIP export (RM99) gives you the whole site as standard files with a seven-day download link, even after the site goes offline. You can also copy the live public site with free tools, and we will point you to them if you ask.

WebX is run by Pixl Digital (002880290-P), a Malaysian web studio that has built websites for local businesses since 2014. WebX costs less than an agency because the building is automated, so you are not paying for meetings, mockup rounds or a project manager. Our staff do the quality checks and the support, and take over any request that goes back and forth. You judge the result on a preview before spending a sen. Pixl Digital also takes full custom builds, online stores and booking systems as separate quoted jobs.

Because RM599 a year left no marketing budget. Customers who joined at RM599 keep that price for as long as they stay subscribed.
