About the firm

The firm behind the tidy ledgers

Padu Advisory is a 12-person accounting firm in Kuala Lumpur. We started in 2017 with one habit. Close the books early. Explain them properly.

Our story

Started by two accountants who hated surprises

Faridah Hassan and Chong Li Wen met at a mid-tier audit firm in 2015. They reviewed year-end files that landed on desks eight months late. Both kept meeting owners who ran good businesses on guesswork. Their accounts arrived too late to matter.

They registered Padu Advisory in 2017. They started with two laptops and a shared office off Jalan Tebing Emas. The offer was rare then, and still is. Fixed fees, agreed in writing. Accounts closed by the 10th. Reports written in plain sentences, not codes.

Nine years on, the team is 12 people. We serve 182 SMEs, from kopitiams to logistics fleets. The rule has never changed. If a number cannot be explained in plain words, it is not finished.

Four rules we follow for every client

  • Fixed fees, in writing

The quote you sign is the fee you pay. Extra work is priced separately, before it starts. It is never billed as a surprise at year end.

  • Closed by the 10th

Monthly accounts are reconciled and reported by the 10th of the next month. Late books help nobody. Speed is a rule, not a favour.

  • One named accountant

You get one person who knows your file. They answer your WhatsApp within a working day. They sit in your quarterly review. No call centre, no re-explaining.

  • Plain numbers only

Reports say what changed, why, and what it costs you. All in full sentences. Jargon stays inside the working papers, where it belongs.

The people on your file

Twelve of us in total. These are the three you will deal with most.

  • Faridah Hassan

    Co-founder and managing partner

Chartered accountant. She leads client onboarding and the quarterly advisory meetings. She still checks every new fee quote herself.

  • Chong Li Wen

    Co-founder, head of tax

Handles corporate tax, CP204 estimates and tricky LHDN letters. Reads tax gazettes for fun, so you never have to.

  • Amirul Aziz

    Payroll and SST lead

Runs payslips, EPF, SOCSO and SST filings for every client. Has not missed a deadline since joining in 2020.
